Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everybody. This was my first Halloween and I was a pumpkin. Friday we went trick or treating at school, had a party, and took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. I picked out a pie pumpkin and ate it fresh with my oatmeal. I also made some pumpkin onion curry soup. It was delicious. On Sunday (Halloween Day) I went trick or treating with my cousins Mack and Jack. Mack was Little Red Riding Hood and Jack was NASCAR driver #1. We had a great time. Mom edited my candy and I decided to donate it to her candy jar at work for the other kids to have. I'm looking forward to some candy next Halloween.

Austin College Homecoming 2010

I went to the lake this weekend to see Rah Rah, Herbie and Uncle Pete. Grandma Lea and Grandpa Jim were there too because they came to Texas to see Uncle Dylan play in Carrolton Friday night with his band, Polyphonic Spree. Saturday dad, mom and me went to Austin College in Sherman. That's where mom went to school. That's me in my cheerleader uniform in the picture above. I had so much fun and made my whole family laugh. I can't wait to see everyone again soon. xo

My first trip to the Texas State Fair

I went to the State Fair of Texas today. I walked, strolled and crawled all over the fair grounds while my parents chased after me. Mom brought my lunch, but I got to watch her and dad eat corny dogs, corn, fried salad, funnel cake, fried s'mores and a turkey leg. Their favorites, the corny dogs and fried s'mores. Mom says I will be able to try the foods when I am older. The state fair is a treat and we had so much fun. I saw exhibits, automobiles, animals and lots and lots of people. I can't wait to go back as a family tradition for years to come.

My First Letter Pumpkin

I created this piece of art today at school. I have been going into Ms. Shane's room in the mornings. She teaches the Infant II classroom with the big kids ages 12-24 months, and since I am almost a big kid, I have been playing with them. This is what we did in art this morning. It is my first letter pumpkin with glue and glitter. It is not for sale yet because mom has it hanging in her office window, but when she retires it I might put it up for auction. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing my first letter pumpkin.

Westapher Golf Tournament

I went with mom to the Westapher Golf Tournament benefitting Nexus today at the Golf Club of Dallas. We watched the afternoon flight tee off and I flirted with a few Nexus board members. It was great to get out of the office for a few hours.

Baptism

Today I was baptized at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Minister Sherry and my cousin Janie Sue (who also happens to be a minister) officiated the baptismal part of the church service together. Janie brought water back from the Jordan River from her trip to Israel and they used the holy water to sprinkle on my head. The dress I wore was Grandma Rah Rah's dress that she was baptized in. My whole family was there and it was so exciting. I stayed awake during the entire service, even though it was my nap time. We ate Luna De Noche for lunch and everyone was there. It was a great day to be surrounded by family. xo

iShow Photography Exhibit

I went to the iShow photography exhibit in the design district yesterday. My dad's buddy Ryan had some pictures displayed and they were awesome. All of the photos at the exhibit were taken on an iPhone (as were the pictures above). I had so much fun and the gallery director even gave me a stuffed dog (pictured above). Thanks Bert. We will be back for more exhibits soon.

10 Months Old and Baptism

I am officially 10 months old today! AND I am getting baptized Sunday by my cousin Janie Sue. Janie has water from the Jordan River that she brought back from her trip to Israel. She will use the water to sprinkle on my head when I get baptized this weekend. My dad's family is coming in from out of town and all of my mom's family will be there too. I am excited for a fun, family weekend.

Happy Birthday DADDY!!

My DAD is 35 today. I made him a card for his birthday, AND I helped mom make him a video montage of my first year of life and of his 34th year of life. It is a great video and depicts a lot of footage of us together. I love my dad so much and wish him the happiest and most special birthday ever!! xo
